The Klukang Monastery
 

Kluknag Monastery is located in the heart of Lhasa and 500 meters north of the Jokhang Monastery.It was built in 647 and its construction was completed at the same time with the Jokhang Monastery.Facing the east,it covers an area of 4,000 square meters.It is mainly composed of the courtyard in the front part,the sacred halls and archways in the rear section and a corridor for turning prayer whell and other buildings.It is an ancient monastery admired by the local people.
