Gesar Study system basically formed in China

Jampel Gyatso, an expert of Gesar Study holds that a scientific system of Gesar Study has been formed in China and this system is under smooth development, sources from the "First Gesar & Kangbei Tourism Industry Development Proseminar".

Jampel Gyatso, expert of Gesar Study as well as researcher from Ethnic Literature Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences introduces that "Gesar" is a great cyclopaedia bookmaking for recording the old Tibetan social history. It is a live form heroic epic, a typical intangible cultural relics representing the achievement of old Tibetan folk culture. Gesar has been developed since going round in other ethnic areas and become the rare wealth and cultural relics for all the peoples in China.

Jampel Gyatso said that since the establishment of P.R.C, especially after the Reform and Opening Up, the Central Government paid much attention to the "Gesar" study. Many talented artists of Gesar rap have been discovered and material for Gesar has been collected, recorded and published.

Furthermore, a team for Gesar Study and a group of magazines for Gesar have been established. Such kinds of international proseminars for Gesar Study have promoted the Gesar cultural cause as well as the Tibetological study and folk culture cause.
