"Heavenly Tibet" performed by the China Tibet Singing and Dancing Troupe was staged at 1,200-seat National Grand Theater of Bucharest, capital of Romanian on the evening of June 7. Audience felt magnificent pictures of Tibet through wonderful Tibetan singing and dancing.
The two-hour performance included five modules: traditional Shoton festival, Horse Race Festival, Bumper Harvest Festival, religious art and traditional New Year. Viewers further understand Tibetan people's culture, religion, history and folk customs via classical dance, traditional folk songs and folk costumes.
The audience was astonished when three Tibetan actors said hello to the audience and sang the famous Rumanian song "Motherland Beautiful as Garland" in Romanian. In subsequent performance, the actors also stepped down from the stage and present white hadas to them.
"China has a long history and rich culture. Tibet to me is a more mysterious and beautiful Garden of Eden. Today's performance strengthens my resolve to visit Tibet," said Miss. Christina, a bank clerk.
One middle-aged woman who once worked in the Romanian Ministry of Culture said that she frequently traveled to China. Unfortunately, she hadn't been to Tibet, this mysterious land. Today's performance made up for this shortcoming. "The Qinghai-Tibet Railway is opened. It is an amazing project. If there is an opportunity to go to China, I must go to Tibet."
China Tibet Singing and Dancing Troupe began the five-day visit in Romania on June 4, and performed for Roumanian audience on June 7 and 8.
