Tibetan drama highlights intl art festival

Pupagyal (also Pu Bajia), a 22-year-old Tibetan singer who won the star-making TV contest "My Hero" last year, brings his new Tibetan drama, "Prince of the Himalayas," to the 9th Shanghai International Art Festival from November 1 to 4.

The Tibetan drama is the stage version of veteran film maker Hu Xuehua's film "Prince of the Himalayas," described as a family tragedy based on "Hamlet."

The drama is staged at the Experimental Theater of Shanghai Academy Theater.
